Description
You are looking at one of the most highly sought after of the RCA shaded dog pressings, The Royal Ballet Gala Performances. Recorded by the very esteemed Kenneth Wilkinson this set has been an audiophile treasure since its first release back in the 1950's.
This is RCA Soria Lp set LD 6065 and is a 2 record set which includes a beautiful original booklet which was painstakingly printed in Italy with care.
This set is in nice condition, overall with the following flaws:
1) Cover is intact with no seam splits or tears. There is some slight foxing of the cover and a few minor stains (see pictures) which may or may not clean off when done professionally.
2) Records look clean without scratches and appear under bright light to look at least VG+ conservatively according to Goldmine standards although they are a little dusty. A vacuum cleaning should do the trick. I'll leave the final cleaning to the purchaser as experience has taught me not to intervene in one's Lp cleaning procedures/expectations.
All 4 sides are Indianapolis pressings and have the following stampers:
Side 1: 3S
Side 2: 1S
Side 3: 1S
Side 4: 1S
Please note that I only accept paypal as payment and payment is due within 3 days of auction close.
Insurance is optional, but highly recommended. I cannot be responsible for damage incurred in shipping and transit. The Lp will be very well packed - in fact it will be double-boxed for supreme safety.
Thanks for looking and best of luck in this auction!
