Description

Up for auction from 1962 Roy Orbison LP (Crying) Monument Records SM-14007 (GOLDEN STEREO AUDIOPHILE) original first USA pressing. Stereo copies of Roy's first two monument LP's have been difficult to find for decades, and is said they were among the very few LP's of the day found to achieve True Stereo at this early time in recording history. The audiophile community interest have pushed the prices far above their Mono counterparts, and are often revered as the finest Stereo pop recordings ever made. Album was purchased 20 + years ago from a Good Rockin' Tonight telephone auction was played once then stored since is in the same condition as when purchased. I have left a photo of their grading sticker as well as my own grading. COVER: VG+ Had a piece of scotch tape that was removed on front with light pencil writing 498 March 1963 on back has storage wear with discoloration from it's 56 years of age is overall very presentable as shown. RECORD: Side 1. VG++ Has a few very light hairlines with one long noticeable light rub mark is overall super glossy clean as shown. Side 2. VG ++ Like the first side a bit better has some micro sleeve wisps that can be seen under a light especially on the first song with a light hairline scratch is overall super mirror glossy clean as shown, and both sides play the same with pristine powerful crystal clear stereo sound. LABELS: Have a few very hard to see not worth mentioning spindle marks.
