Description
ATTENTION international bidders!
Please understand that altering the final price of online purchases to avoid customs fees is illegal. Every order is processed digitally, the shipping label affixed to the package will show the exact cost of the item. I am an honest seller and cannot alter the amount, so please do not ask me to do so. RECORD packaging & shipping!
I provide ample padding in each package to prevent shifting during the shipping process. I also use industry-standard shipping boxes which are specifically designed for shipping records. Records are shipped outside their sleeves (if a sleeve is included) and covers to prevent damage during transit.
Goldmine Standard Grading:
SS / NM- / VG++ / VG+ / VG / G+ / G / P
I grade conservatively, please see my grading scale below the record description for more details.
Here's a 1960 original from The Roy Haynes Trio and their "Just Us" album on the Prestige / New Jazz label. Excellent sounding vinyl here. RVG stamped in the dead wax.
Vinyl: VG++ to NM-
This record has been thoroughly cleaned on my VPI machine and handled with care. I take plenty of pictures and add detailed text to attempt to satisfy all prospective buyers.
Beautiful shine. Very nice surface, beautiful playback . No skips. Some very light sleeve scuffs but overall an excellent record. This is an excellent copy... very nice sound as the clips show. Pictures show the record well.
The clips below are taken from each side. This gives the best example of the playback quality. I use a Yamaha P-520 direct drive turntable with a Digitrac 280 cartridge.
This is a visual grade as well as a complete play grade. Labels look great and are as shown.

Cover: VG+ to VG++ This record comes from the home of the original owner who was a jazz pianist and radio fill in up in the Chicago area back in the mid-1960's and then again in the 70's... Great shine to this heavy, original cover. Spine reads well. No splits. Solid seams, a couple corners show wear as well as some print chips at the corners at the spine. Very slight bend to the cover. Shows the promotional stamp on the back. The cover did come in contact with moisture at some point in its life. Evidence of this can be seen on the bottom front cover where the veneer is worn a bit and bubbled, back cover shows slight moisture stains as well. Overall though, the cover is in great shape. Check out the pics for a better idea.
The inner sleeve is brand new and heavy paper with a window that's poly-lined. Perfect for keeping such a rare and fantastic record in archival shape. The record will ship in the sleeve outside the cover, both the cover and the record/sleeve combo will travel in a poly bag for archiving. All will be cardboard padded and bubble wrapped for transit.
Please inspect the pictures well for something I may have missed mentioning. I've enjoyed the record while I've owned it, its time to let it go to make room for more acquisitions. I try to be conservative when grading and do hope my description was sufficient.
Thanks for looking!
Mike

Goldmine Grading Details
SS = Still Sealed
any defects will be listed and/or photographed to complete the description
NM- = Near Mint Minus
just short of perfect - acceptable defects would include a hairline mark not detectable to the touch and not affecting playback, background noise is nearly silent
VG++ = Very Good Plus Plus
most records I will list fall under this grade, just short of NM- but may have a mark or contact wear to the label to grade it slightly lower, maybe a drill hole or saw cut, maybe a mark or name written on the label lightly, sound is still great, loud and near perfect, cover may have slight edge or corner wear, maybe slight ring wear
VG+ = Very Good Plus
a great record, sound is high quality though may have a few pops or clicks, overall very nice looking vinyl possibly with light marks & scuffs, labels may have a name or mark on them, possible light contact wear to the label, covers may have a small split but not large or gaping, edge wear on cover may show more than slight, may be a mark on cover
VG = Very Good
only records I will list with this grade would be rather rare or of higher book value, meant to sell as a filler until a better record comes along, vinyl may have feel-able marks but should play through without skipping, pops or clicks may be louder than usual, may have marks or wear on the label, cover may have open splits, wear on print, may have marks or other very apparent defects (all will be stated in description either by type or in the pictures)
