STRIKE LABEL 1967 RARE FIRST UK PRESSING WITH DAWSON ROSSITER FULLY LAMINATED SINGLE SLEEVE.

Released in 1967. I am offering here this impossibly rare first issue on the textured STRIKE label of the stunning debut album from Manchester folk legend ROY HARPER titled "THE SOPHISTICATED BEGGAR". the album contains some great tracks including FOREVER and MR STATION MASTER. The vinyl looks to be in clean excellent condition but the first track CHINA GIRL needs to be played with a light needle with the counter weight set at 0.5 or lighter or will skip once.

The album comes complete with its original Dawson Rossiter fully laminated single sleeve which is whiter than most but has some creasing and shows wear to the centre of the spine. still a very presentable example of this Strike label 1967 original.

I have just played this album through for these listing purposes and I am pleased to say that it plays very well with rich audio but there is a solitary skip during the first track CHINA GIRL which if played with a light needle set at 0.5 or lighter plays through OK. I also noticed a touch of distortion during Blackpool which is common with this album.

The VINYL, The Vinyl visually is in clean excellent condition, Audibly it plays through well with rich audio but has a skip on the first track if not played with a very light stylus and some distortion during Blackpool but as I have stated if played with a very light needle plays through fine and is a very enjoyable listen. 

The SLEEVE, The Dawson Rossiter fully laminated single sleeve is in solid condition whiter than most with no stickers or unwanted writing etc but shows creasing to the top right corner along with a repaired tear.  

The LABELS, The textured STRIKE labels are very clean. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

The INNER, The generic inner is clean and free from unwanted writing, stickers or splits etc.

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
