Without Brian Eno, Roxy Music immediately became less experimental, yet remained adventurous, as Stranded illustrates.
Under the direction of Bryan Ferry, Roxy moved toward relatively straightforward territory, adding greater layers of piano and heavy guitars. Even without the washes of Eno's synthesizers, Roxy's music remains unsettling on occasion, yet in this new incarnation, they favour more measured material, whether it's the reflective "A Song for Europe" or the shifting textures of "Psalm."
Even the rockers, such as the surging "Street Life" and the segmented "Mother of Pearl," are distinguished by subtle songwriting that emphasises both Ferry's tortured glamour and Roxy's increasingly impressive grasp of sonic detail

LABELS: The labels are CLEAN, BRIGHT and UNMARKED with only light spindle traces. THIS COPY HAS NOT BEEN OVERPLAYED AT ALL
VINYL Visual: The vinyl retains its original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN with just a couple of superficial light marks which have NO audio consequence
VINYL Audio: CRYSTAL CLEAR, DEEP, RICH and VIBRANT SOUND. BEAUTIFUL LOUD CUT. There are NO scratches, NO skips or jumps, NO clicks/pops and barely any surface noise (really, hardly any). The LP plays to an impressively high standard with SUPERB AUDIO CLARITY, NO groove-wear and NO distortion and sounds absolutely SENSATIONAL. Critically graded EXCELLENT++ for audio - FANTASTIC LP - SUPERB COPY
SLEEVE: The CHIC gatefold cover is in NEAR MINT condition. The surfaces have a DEEP, DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN and the inside in CLEAN and CRISP. All text on the spine is CLEAR and BOLD and the edges are UNWORN - BEAUTIFUL SLEEVE
The original PALE BLUE ISLAND INNER is EXCELLENT+ with NO splits to any of its edges - just some handling creases
