Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Rare original advance release WHITE LABEL PROMO 1966 vinyl first pressing in glorious MONO ...and simply a GREAT 1966 THUNDERBIRDS album featuring the stylistic Chris Farlowe, delivering a gritty cookin' beatrock gem ...filled with tough rave-up twang guitar structured beatrock energy with Farlowe belting the rhythm & blues in his best form ...has to be his best 60's album...

Terrific condition, not only pristine M- cover & record (on the collected 360 Sound Columbia label) but also in the original Columbia records issued plastic baggy sleeve ...a terrific collectible from the rockin' British Beat-invasion era !

Chris Farlowe always seemed destined for great things as a singer -- and based on the company he kept on-stage and the people he worked with in the mid-'60s, he did succeed, at least on that level. Born John Henry Deighton in Islington, North London, in 1940, he reached his early teens just as the skiffle boom was breaking in England, and was inspired by Lonnie Donegan to enter music. His first band was his own John Henry Skiffle Group, where he played guitar as well as sang, but he gave up playing to concentrate on his voice, as he made the switch to rock & roll. He eventually took the name Chris Farlowe, the surname appropriated from American rock & roll vocalist Tal Farlow, and was fronting a tough r&b/beat group called the Thunderbirds, as Chris Farlowe & the Thunderbirds. Their sound was something akin to the rowdy side of Eric Burdon & The Animals without the organ. They built their reputation as a live act in England and Germany, and slowly switched from rock & roll to R&B during the mid years of the '60s. Their debut single, "Air Travel," failed to chart, but the following year, Chris Farlowe & the Thunderbirds (whose ranks included future star guitarist Albert Lee) were signed to EMI's Columbia imprint, through which they issued a series of five singles thru 1966, all of which got enthusiastic critical receptions including this album which remained his best sixties effort.

CONDITION: The cover: is strong and solid, "EX" (excellent) would rate M- but for a minor mark on front, can't really notice unless looking, the back cover is M- ...all in all a rare collectible with bright colors, very fresh looking despite the fact that its 45 years of age & counting...The back cover is snow white = mo bends, no split seams, no writing & fresh. Promotional only timing song strip on bottom cover only raises the value as a limited pre-release collectible....

The VINYL as well is ALL CLEAN, M- looks and plays beautiful = the white promo labels are snow white clean
