Description

2nd PHASE

What does that mean?

The 1st phase was the implementation of the Bernardo’s Business Model as outlined below. The 2nd phase is as records are re-listed or new discs added. The records in this 2nd phase are grouped into two categories; rare, hard-to-find or new records bought in England or Germany in the ‘80s which are all from my personal collection or the 4,000+ titles that I must sell before I return to the EU later this year. These titles are discounted already but look for even steeper discounts especially for multi-record purchases.

The rare, hard-to-find new records bought in England or Germany in the ‘80s will be repriced based upon what it will take to get me to let them go. Many of the current rare listings will be reduced but there will be no further reductions. Most will have an option to “Make An Offer.” They will be either new listings or relisted for 90 days and then if unsold, they will be taken down and boxed for my return to the EU by the end of the year and subsequently sold at record shows primarily in Germany at higher prices than they will be offered on eBay. The not-so-rare titles after 90 days may be relisted again or sold to local dealers but they will not return to Europe with me.

The new general shipping policy is shipping within ONE BUSINESS DAY of confirmed Paypal payment and most are offered with a 14 DAY MONEY BACK RETURN GUARANTEE.  Buy a minimum four records and get free USA domestic shipping or reduced international shipping.

SETTING A NEW STANDARD FOR ON-LINE VINYL SALES

All discs are packed professionally with the disc stored in a MFSL Original Master Sleeve (or similar) and a new outer jacket. The disc is sent between the cardboard jacket and new outer sleeve.

Discs cleaned with a 16.5 VPI

Jackets wiped inside and outside

Translucent outside covers

MFSL (or similar) inside covers

Selected discs PLAY graded as well as visually inspected

We can’t guarantee each record will be perfect, but we will get it as good as it can be when it is sent. These records can be up to 50 years old with unknown storage and handling but you can be assured that we can do wonders in saving old vinyl so that it can be enjoyed not endured!”

PLEASE NOTE:  All records are visually inspected under a strong light and selected discs are played in order to come up with a meaningful evaluation. Every mark, mar, imperfection, scratch and countless other potential anomalies are not considered individually and certainly not singled out unless they are heard repeatedly in the play process, but rather lumped together in things such as “occasional light paper scratches” for example. If I can’t hear it on the playback, I obviously won’t comment on it.

I use a Music Hall 9.1, a Music Hall 5.1 or an AR “The Turntable” with either a Goldring Eroica MC, Goldring 2200 MM or a Denon A100 MC cartridge depending on the turntable. Please do not assume, as occasionally I get accused of, that I should have noted something in the listing which you might hear and I don’t. My stellar feedback speaks for itself and after selling close to 6,000 records since 1999, I will do my best to deliver to you the best product I can. These are used records and in many cases 20, 30 or 40+ years old with, unless I bought them new, an unknown history of cleaning, storage and playback equipment. I can’t guarantee that with your cartridge, turntable and set-up you won’t hear something I don’t but I can guarantee that I won’t send anything that is intentionally below my high standards.

I am dealing with hundreds of records a week these days so there are times when I might miss something. I usually catch anything I might have missed earlier when I do my final checks/plays of discs before they get boxed up. If I find something, I will e-mail the buyer with a solution but sometimes record issues do escape me. This is vinyl. Please don’t assume that I am trying to screw you over. Don’t write me hostile e-mails but rather send me an e-mail describing the situation. We will work something out. We are only dealing in records.  Look at my feedback. I pride myself on honesty, integrity and fair play.

ROLLING STONES – singles & rarities from Decca era (Decca, 4 discs, made in Germany, 1983)

I bought this in Berlin 1983 at a shop that was in the square which has the remains of the Gedaechtnis Kirche which was destroyed in a 1943 Allied bombing.  The record shop was in the basement of the community center adjacent to the ruin. It was run by an old guy about 60 years old who spoke good English (I shocked him when I replied in German to him since I had lived in Germany when I was 16).

I really get tired of rude and aggressive e-mails from buyers who want at THEIR price and when I won’t give it away, they get snotty, mean and rude. I get tired of being told I won’t ever sell it. Well, I’ll jeep I then since I don’t need to sell it! Well, I won't give it away since it is just like new and I will keep it until someone wants it more than I do and pays my price.  IT IS SUPER!

This is like-new but, as I have had to qualify so many times before, I can’t call it new since it has been opened and used but it wasn’t sealed when I bought it BUT YOU WON’T FIND A BETTER COPY.  There is no wear, rips, gouges scuffing with the exception of a small 1/64th of an inch nick on the lower front bottom obviously from vertical storage. It has been stored in a skin-tight cover but the shelves were custom-made to handle the weight of 75 records in each cubicle ( Thee were at my height 10,000) so it was heavy particle board that in the 11 years I lived in that house never sagged but couldn’t because it was designed properly and reinforced. Every record that I had was stored truly vertical. That is the reason I got all this killer stuff today since I took care of it for 30 years plus.

The vinyl is out of this world. It has been played in about 30 years maybe 4 times and has as good of sound as you will ever hear including the MFSL issues from the Rolling Stones.  It is that super German virgin vinyl with careful German plating and clearly the original master tapes were used. The discs have no issues. They are shiny and look new (I wonder why??). The labels have no spindle marks. It plainly could not be any better than this.  Even the polystyrene foam that is the cushion for the discs has not broken down at all. Included also are the three original paper sleeves.

You will not find a better copy and you’d never believe that this is almost 30 years old in its condition.  It is THAT GOOD.
