ROLLING STONES Through The Past Darkly UK DECCA 1980's REISSUE? Beat Mick Jagger

The Rolling Stones, Through The Past Darkly (Big Hits Vol.2).

Later UK pressing which appears to be circa 1980s.

Issue Points:

  • Dark blue/silver "boxed" Decca labels.

  • Square (non-laminated) sleeve with the original octagonal cover reproduced against a black background. No stereo/mono perforation at the back of the sleeve, just a white rectangle with "stereo SKL 5019" printed to it.

  • The mono catalogue number LK 5019 is printed to the spine only.

  • The sleeve is not laminated but glossed to front and rear.

  • The poly-lined inner sleeve is WEA, but probably of correct vintage, and this is marked with month/year 11/82.

  • Side 1 Matrix (stamped): XZAL-9067. P-2W

  • Side 2 Matrix (stamped): XZAL-9068. P-3W

  • Also has these matrix numbers printed to the labels above the main catalogue numbers: XZAL 9067P / XZAL 9068P.

    Vinyl conservatively graded as EX plus. A couple of very minor surface scuff marks visible at very close inspection, but other than this shows no visible signs of play and has a high as new gloss.

    Inner sleeve NM.

    External sleeve VG++. Main panels are bright and clean. There is a very tiny area of surface loss to bottom left corner of front panel. When angled against a light source it is noted that there are some largish areas of loss to the surface gloss at top right of front panel. This is not at all obtrusive and is probably a result of removal of those large round price stickers that were prevalent in the '80's. Edges and spine intact but some whitening rubbing and wear here and there to edges and tips. Entry side is still crisp and not feathered.
