The ROLLING STONES - THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST

A truly superb condition copy of this 1967 UK 1st press Rolling Stones psychedelic gem

Year/Label : 1967 UK Decca
Label number : STEREO TXS 103
Matrix numbers : ZAL-8126-T2-4K,  ZAL-8127-T2-5K  with the KT tax code stamped on each side
Stampers :  1 3G  /  1 UB  (the "3G" and "UB" are very difficult to make out)
I do get a little nervous when using the expression "near mint" (and it's rare that I do grade the condition of vinyl as such, instead preferring to err on the side of caution by using "excellent plus") but in this case (and also that of the "Let It Bleed copy that I currently have advertised) I have little hesitation in grading the condition of this record as near mint (NM). Gleaming, jet black sheen, weighty and completely flat vinyl and in normal daylight there is not a mark in sight, and the clincher for me is when tilted to an angle and viewed in bright sunlight there is still not a mark in sight - incredible for a record that is now 56 years of age! Coupled with the fact that both labels are pristine apart from just two very small and extremely faint spindle trails on the side 2 label (none on side 1) strongly suggests that this record has been played only a few times.  The iconic outside laminated, psychedelic Robert Stace outer gatefold sleeve excellent plus plus (EX++) - most would grade as "near mint", I am sure. Supremely presentable with firm, unscuffed edges,  perfectly defined right angled corners with no rubbing, a rigid spine with all spine text perfectly intact, firm opening edges with no fraying, no cardboard creasing and all art work, photos, and text retaining perfect clarity, original colour vibrancy and in exquisite condition. Similarly, the iconic front sided lenticular/3D square shaped stick-on photo of the band remains in pristine condition. The only blemish (too strong a word, and I am being really picky here) is just the faintest evidence of some extremely light shelf wear on the reverse side bottom edge adjacent to the bottom right corner...nothing really!  The stereo sound quality is truly near mint (NM) - no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle. This record plays as well as it did on the first day it was purchased with great tone and crystal clear vocals and instrumentation. Every track remains a superb listen.  The original red and white psychedelic inner sleeve is also in great condition with no seam splits, no edge fraying or tears, and no age discolouration. The only blemish that prevents the inner sleeve being graded as "near mint" is a single 10cm diagonal crease in one corner. Note that the record will be posted inside a new poly-lined white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.
A truly top copy of this 1967 UK 1st press Rolling Stones psychedelic masterpiece - there can't be many in better condition than this.   POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £4 using Royal Mail tracked 48;

for continental Europe £13 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £19 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 53 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window!
