THE ROLLING STONES - Their Satanic Majesties Request - Original 1967 UK MONO Vinyl LP in laminate 3D HOLOGRAM gatefold sleeve + Coloured Inner Sleeve and 'Unboxed' Blue/Silver DECCA Labels. A FIRST PRESSING with RARE Matrix mispressing of -1P/-P1!

Excellent PLUS / Good Minus Condition. A SUPERB looking copy but not the best playing copy!

SLEEVE:                     

EX+ (Slight wear only. A superb example! You would think this sleeve was only a couple of years old it looks so great! Really well preserved both on the lovely outer laminate and inside the gatefold too. The 3D Hologram is perfect! Super spine and edges and very minimal corner wear. You won't find an original sleeve this good very often)

INNER:

GOOD Minus (Sadly the vinyl does not match the sleeve. The previous owner confessed to taking the record to parties in a plain sleeve, leaving the lovely 3D sleeve stored at home, and sadly the vinyl has suffered because of this. Visually under bright light you can see a spiders web of hairline surface scratches. There are also one or 2 very small 'feeler' scratches. Some of the LP still plays ok, at times to a quite decent standard, but there is mostly the sound of at least a little background crackle. Sometimes the crackle is more noticeable and there is an occasional click. I played about half of the LP - bits on both sides - and it also jumped on a couple of occasions )

GRADINGS

When grading records and CD’s I follow the standard UK grading system as defined by Record Collector Magazine. This is the most widely used guide and respected by Collectors Worldwide.

MINT (M) – Record is in brand new condition. The cover and all extra items are present and in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX) – The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) – The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items (without any major defects) is acceptable.

I always grade honestly and accurately and unless a record is extremely rare I never sell anything with a grading below VG-

I mail everything using the best quality (music industry standard) packaging materials. This means sturdy cardboard record mailers with added cardboard stiffeners for LP’s and 7” singles. For CD’s I use tough jiffy bags and I add card protectors to any CD’s that have card sleeves.
