British bad boys of rock the Rolling Stones formed over SIXTY years ago, in 1962. By 1964, sixty years ago this year, they began their quest for world domination with the release of their self-titled debut album, (titled 'England's Newest Hit Makers' here in the US). Late last year, the Rolling Stones released their latest studio album called 'Hackney Diamonds', and it's actually really good! The band is now down to Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and of course, Mick Jagger. Former bassist Bill Wyman guest starred on this album, and longtime drummer Charlie Watts passed away in 2021. (RIP Charlie. You were both a gentleman and a great musician. The Stones wouldn't have been the same without you! You are missed.)

In 1981, they released their rock and roll milestone called 'Tattoo You'. It gave us the hits: "Hang Fire", "Start Me Up", and "Waiting on a Friend". All of these songs could be heard on rock and pop radio, and the videos were in heavy rotation on MTV. The front cover is the face of Sir Mick Jagger. (I actually thought it was a woman. All these years, I thought, feminine features with tats, so it must be a lady! Lol) The B side is Keith Richards, and with those eyes and that nose, it's obviously Keith!

For your consideration today, we have a copy of that FORTIETH anniversary release, and on a 12" picture disc! Bought new, and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! This comes in its original PVC sleeve, with hype sticker. Sleeve is split on two sides, a couple inches long, each split. (As so many are. I think it's because they use an inferior material making these jackets.)

And since the Stones are back in the spotlight with that new album, I'll throw in an issue of a comic called 'Rock 'n' Roll Comics', and The Rolling Stones issue! From 1989,  THIRTY FIVE years ago! It's a bit primitive, and is black and white (except for the front and back covers). In really, really good condition! A sweet collectible companion piece to the Stones anniversary reissue LP picture disc!
