Description

A magnificent mono copy of Through The Past Darkly by The Rolling Stones on earliest unboxed UK Decca vinyl from 1969 - especially rare since in 1969 mono was already part of the dark past! This first press mono disc is as lovely a copy as I have seen. Both red unboxed Decca mono labels are practically perfect with nothing untoward to report. I cannot see any spindle marks, even when examining the disc under bright halogen light. There is no spindle wear whatsoever - so often you see these early red mono labels marred by unsightly wear around the spindle hole. Both sides of this barely played vinyl are in strong EX condition - about as bright and shiny as the day this disc was produced. This disc bears 1-1 mother stampers, indicating a very early pressing indeed. The lovely laminated flipback octagonal gatefold sleeve is in EX- condition with no unwanted writing, no rips or sticker tears and just a tiny amount of wear and very little laminate chipping near the spine. The set comes complete with the correct earliest printed octagonal red mono inner sleeve - no tears, no writing, no splits, no damage whatsoever. Good luck if you are bidding - and don't forget to check out my other items. I carefully package my records and post tracked to ensure they reach you as they leave me, with the disc removed from the sleeve and custom inner.
