ROLLING STONES - THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST 1967 TXL 103 MONO 3D UNBOXED

Note: All records are professionally cleaned prior to grading on an Okki Nokki RCM using L’Art Du Son cleaning fluid. This does not restore a record to brand new, but rather removes the majority of dust and dirt to leave a record (and it’s audio) as clean as possible.

Sleeve

The sleeve appears to be in G+ condition with some signs of age, some spine wear and creasing, approx 1 inch split to bottom of opening, along with general shelf and usage wear from over the years. Unfortunately someone has also written their name inside and used a biro on the ‘puzzle’. Please see large photographs for a better idea!

Vinyl

Visually the record appears to be in VG- condition with plenty of light scuffs, scratches and marks.

I have played the record through and it does play with some surface noise which is more noticeable in quieter passages. I noticed the odd tick and pop and unfortunately it does stick during Side 1, Track 5.

As you can see from the photographs, someone has written on Side 2 label.

In my opinion the sound on this original pressing is fantastic and were it not for the surface noise, it would blow any other copy out of the water! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it!

Record Collectors Grading System
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
The use of + or - allows for items that fall between the above grades.
Play Testing

Unfortunately as this is not my full time job, I am only able to visually grade records.

Audio quality may vary based on your Hi-Fi system.

For the records I have noted as being listened to, they are played on the following reference setup:

Linn Sondek LP12, Ekos, ESC’d Troika, Naim Stageline

Naim Nait XS-2, NAC-5, Naim Allae
