The Rolling Stones---"Their Satanic Majesties Request"---Ultra Rare MONO 1st UK Press Album With Sky Blue, Unboxed, Grooved Labels
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
Here we have a UK 1st pressed album in MONO from 1967 on the sky blue, grooved unboxed Decca label with a cat. no. TXL 103 and matrices 1P & P1.
Vinyl: . The vinyl looks pretty good with quite a few hailines and light marks and plays as follows:
Side 1: Starts with some light crackle before and during the start of T1, which disappears into the music. T1 plays VG+, as does T2. Light surface between T2 & T3 then T3 plays EX. Very Light surface between T£ & T4 which plays EX until the end which some surface during the "no music" piece. T5 starts straight after talking then goes straight into T6 which gets halfway through then STICKS!! It then continues to the end with just light surface.
Side 2: Heavy Surface before start into T1 which plays Ex. T2 has some ultra light ticks in quiet parts. Continues with light surface between T2 & T3 when T3 plays EX. Surface between T3 & T4 then gets halfway through T4 and STICKS again!! Finishes off fine.
I couldn't give much better description and as you can see it has 2 sticking points but still listenable track by track.
Labels: EX. The labels are in great condition with no marks or writing and ust a little spindle trail. They look nice.
Sleeve: EX. The Robert Stace 3D hologram gatefold sleeve is in great condition with a little edge wear but no markings. Inner is original red "smoke" one and is in great condition. This album must be worth a little bit just for the sleeve alone!!!
