Another from my personal collection.Sticky Fingers, One of my favourite all time Rolling Stones albums! This original 1st UK pressing is complete with the original insert in perfect absolutely mint condition. The original UK zip cover is in exceptional condition without edge splits or tares or edge scuffs just has just lightest of  storageware only, common on this fragile die cut cover due to the way that these were stored from the factory, with super square corners!  The vinyl looks and sounds as good as new in my opinion and beleive me it is so rare to ever find like this. (Many copies are found with very common pressing faults, that have static crackle and ticks through out them) Not this copy  absolutely stunning, the best and most vibrant audio quality throughout, almost cd quality on my systems! This plays without any clicks or pops, I would say that it would be hard to find a better sounding vinyl!  This early pressed album is becoming more and more difficult to find in this condition and becoming extreemly highly collectable and sought after!

Sticky Fingers is an album by The Rolling Stones and was released in 1971. It is notable for being the band's first release on their newly-formed Rolling Stones Records label after having been contracted since 1963 with Decca Records in the UK and London Records in the US. It is also Mick Taylor's first full-length appearance on a Rolling Stones album.!!!!

Although sessions for Sticky Fingers began in earnest in March 1970, they had done some early recording at Muscle Shoals Studios in Alabama in December 1969 and "Sister Morphine", cut during Let It Bleed's sessions earlier in March of that year, would be heldover for this release!!

Much of the recording for Sticky Fingers was effected with The Rolling Stones' mobile studio unit in Stargroves during the summer and fall months in 1970. Early versions of songs that would appear on Exile on Main ST. were also routined during these sessions!

Sticky Fingers may just be the band's most drug-drenched album, as well over half of the songs mention drug use, while the rest merely alludes to it!

Some final overdubbing and mixing in January 1971, found the album complete and preceded by "Brown Sugar" that March, which reached #1 in the US and #2 in the UK!

Appearing in April on their new Rolling Stones label (with distribution by WEA Music), Sticky Fingers was rapturously-received and hit #1 worldwide, beginning an uninterrupted string of eight consecutive chart-topping US studio albums!

"Wild Horses", covered by Keith Richards friend Gram Parsons with The Flying Burrito Brothers, was the second single in the US only, making the Top 30!!!!!!.

The Vinyl

The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and retains its original sheen from new and looks almost as new in my opinion! for a 40 year old vinyl! On inititial inspection this vinyl looks absolutely awesome, only in strong light could  any light whyspy sleeve removal whyspy type marks possibly be seen. I cant see any needle or audio sounding marks, at least nothing that would produce any loud clicks or pops during the play of this vinyl.

The Audio Quality

I have played this vinyl very carefully track for track at very loud volume on a top system prior to listing. The audio is stunning throughout, cristal clear and very vibrant absolutely stunning audio seperation! You will be hard pressed to find a better sounding copy in my opinion! Even during the quieter places during the audio, any interfearance in the form of static was very, very minimal indeed, almost as good as it gets on my systems (no) loud clicks or pops and certainly (no) skips or jumps!!     This must grade at least excellent plus to near mint on my systems almost cd quality for the most part! unbeleivably rare like this!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! It is all too easy to be critical about these early seventies pressings Please allow for the odd light isolated static /tick perhapes only heard in some very quiet places but certainly (not) consistant throughout the audio! Please remember that this is a genuine 40 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 40 year old system!

The Labels

These are the original and 1st UK issue Rolling Stones labels and carry the earliest original catalogue numbers ''coc  59100'' Amaizingly it is very hard to see any spidering around the spindle hole! This vinyl has certainly only ever had no more than a handfull of plays only in my personal opinion!

The Matrix

Side 1   ''COC 59100 A3' (only 1st UK press)

Side 2. '' COC 59100 B4 (only 1st UK press)

''TML'' and ''Rolling Stones Records'' (hand etched on both sides)

The Cover

This is the original UK press Zip Cover without splits or tares and amaizingly barely any real creasings to talk of apart from some light creasing at the top of the buckle on the front of the cover only. Any storageware is in the form of light scuff dents seen only if really scrutinised cause mainly from the way that these were stored from the factory due to the zips denting the covers stored on to each other! (commonly found on these originals) This cover must grade at least excellent if not better in my opinion!

The original insert

This is the original insert super straight without creasings, minor yellowing with age on the white side only but only really noticable if scrutinised!

THE ORIGINAL PICTURE INSERT  IS INTACT WITH NO SPLITS OR TARES THE PICTURE OF THE STONES IS PERFECT. THIS MAKES THIS ALBUM COMPLETE AND EXTREEMELY COLLECTABLE!!!!!
