The Rolling Stones, Out Of Our Heads.
UK pressed Decca Records mono LP, LK 4733.Earliest red and silver grooved label with non-boxed Decca logo pressing, housed in front laminated sleeve with internal back flaps.
Matrix Numbers:Side One: ARL-6973- 10B - SideTwo: ARL-6974 -12A.
Stampers/Mothers:Side One: G / 1 - SideTwo: M / 1.
Not a mint issue, but in far better condition than the majotity of extant issues. An LP which has played and enjoyed, but not abused.
Spider trace marks around the spindle areas indicates a few plays, although not a great deal, and much less so than expected with this LP. The centre areas are not worn, chipped or whitened.
Vinyl surfaces still have a high gloss and are not dulled or greyed.
Note that the fine black lines visible in the photo of the vinyl surface are in fact reflections and not marks.
When LP is rotated beneath a light source a number of light surface hairline marks and scuffs are visible, but these are not great in number, and there are no deep marks or scratches. The marks that are visible are fairly scattered, with a number of clean patches - the surfaces are not a network of fine hairlines. A strong VG visually.
Playback is very clean and bright. There is no underlying background noise or crackle, and there are no ticks or clicks. A few very soft and isolated ticks noticeable during band separators, but not during actual tracks. A very clean playing LP which still provides a really enjoyable listening experience.
Labels are clean and undefaced and without penned inscriptions.
Inner sleeve is original and in good condition. Bright and unbrowned with minimal creasing.
Sleeve is a very clean and bright example. The front panel is clean and unmarked and still with a really nice sheen. There are just a very few hairline air pocket creases and half moons to the suface. Just a very slight ringwear impression, but without surface scuffing or undue creasing. No laminate peel.
Rear panel also very clean and unmarked. Actually much better than photo suggests - the thumbing marks have caught the light somewhat. The rear actually displays a clean and dark black hue with clean white areas "in the flesh". Edges and tips very well preserved and withouti scuffing or seam splts Entry side still very acceptably crisp and firm.
In summary, a copy which is not perfect, but with very acceptable playback and in very much cleaner condition than the norm.

A Note On Grading:Note that audio grading is subjective and based on sensitivity of equipment used for playback. In this instance playback has been tested on a vintage Technics Quartz Direct Drive SL1700 MKII turntable with Shure cartridge, Technics SU-C 03 amp and Technics SB-F2 Linear Phase speakers.
Also note that I generally do not clean vinyl unless so noted. Most vinyl will show improved playback quality with your preferred cleaning method, but I leave this to the prospective buyer, as controversy still surrounds the ideal method of cleaning vinyl.
