Original 1966 UK light blue label Decca TXL 101 Mono LP with correct original Gatefold Booklet Style Sleeve.

The sleeve is the First Issue , which does not have the Mono / Stereo 'hole' on rear of the sleeve (see photo) , and spine that denotes only TXL Mono print..............Copies with the mono / stereo 'hole' and TXS / TXL print spines are later issues..........................

Condition of Vinyl:- Very light signs of use / wear only , no marks , just a few very light surface lines on side two , evident beneath alight.............The sound quality is outstanding , barely any between track noise at all : Graded at Visually at least EXCELLENT , Aurally EXCELLENT+ condition.

Condition of Sleeve:- A great Gatefold Booklet Sleeve , minimal edge and corner use , just a couple of very small , light laminate creases only. The Photo / Booklet has no wear at all : easily graded at EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT+ condition.

Notes: The Rolling Stones: Keith Richards (vocals, guitar); Mick Jagger (vocals); Brian Jones (guitar); Bill Wyman (bass); Charlie Watts (drums). Recorded in London, England, Chicago, Illinois & Hollywood, California between 1963 & 1966. Like its 1969 second volume THROUGH THE PAST DARKLY, BIG HITS (HIGH TIDE & GREEN GRASS) is a fine collection of '60s Stones classics, but it's a rather bluesier one. This is exemplified by such rootsy tracks as the redefined Buddy Holly tune "Not Fade Away" and the R&B bounce of Bobby Womack's "It's All Over Now." Not that the group's original songs were lacking in grit or attitude; the vituperative "Get Off Of My Cloud," delivered in Mick Jagger's best Sidcup dialect still sounds magnificent, as does Brian Jones's booming Vox pearl guitar on "The Last Time" and Keith Richards's opening chords to the aforementioned "Not Fade Away." This is a disc to be handed down to your children.

Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I realize the requirements in the gradings of sleeves and discs , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised in listings ........I notice that the usual practice by many sellers on eBay is using the buzzwords 'Stunning' , 'Superb' , 'Awesome' 'etc etc etc...... and have grossly long-winded descriptions .............these 'experts' also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and incorrect to actual facts , and would be laughable , but for the fact that it is misleading , and tends to hide the fact that the items on offer are only Average/Very Good , substandard items........and a 1000 word essay with vague photographs does not make what is an easily found VG condition item into a difficult to find Mint condition item.................. I take time and care to grade items correctly and only list quality records........

I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest!) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists live too (I saw The Beatles twice........and Segovia!)
