This Auction is for an original Rolling Stones LP from 1965

DECCA LK 4661 MONO 1965
Tracks are :- Side 1. Everybody Needs Somebody To Love, Down Home Girl, You Can't Catch Me, Time Is On My Side, What A Shame, Grown Up Wrong.
Side 2. Down The Road Apiece, Under The Boardwalk, I Can't Be Satisfied, Pain In My Heart, Off The Hook, Suzie-Q.
The record is in a very good, well played condition. There are quite a few surface marks on both sides, but there aren't any serious scratches or damage that affect the playing of the album. I have played each track on both sides and the sound quality is quite suprising. There is a litle bit of surface noise at the very beginning run on to the track and between the actual tracks, but it is not offensive and certainly does not detract from the wonderful and nostalgic mono sound. There aren't any nasty pops, sticks, jumps, scratches or other horrible noises and I think it plays really well and sounds great.
The labels are the original Red early Decca grooved labels with the Decca logo unboxed.
The Matrix numbers are XARL-6619-1A and XARL-6620-1A This is a VERY EARLY PRESSING.
The front laminated sleeve was Printed and made by James Upton Ltd. It is complete and intact without rips or tears, but does show a few ripples in the laminate, especially on the right hand side near to the edge and in the top left hand corner. There is no real evidence of edge rubbing and even the spine itself is very good with all the printing clearly visible. There is a record shop sticker at the top on the rear side. The rear side itself is very good, little bit of general grubbyness, but still quite bright and undamaged.
