CONDITION:

VINYL EXCELLENT The first pressing vinyl is beautifully clean and bright and lies flat on the turntable with no hint of warp. There are a few obvious but very shallow long surface marks on Side One that do not affect the audio (see below), whilst Side Two shows far fewer signs of play. Side One 80 out of 100. Side Two 85 out of 100. 

AUDIO EXCELLENT The sound reproduction play grades as excellent throughout with some light crackle in places and only occasional minor surface noise. The shallow marks on Side One do not cause any pops or clicks. 80 out of 100.

LABELS NEAR MINT The previous owner must have had a steady hand as both red and silver paper labels are beautifully clean and unmarked with only minimal spindle lines. 90 out of 100.

POSTER EXCELLENT- The four panel fold out poster shows no sign of ever having been on a wall. It retains its original colours with crisp edges and corners and no tears. There are some triangular fold creases on the top to bottom fold, and a little discolouration to the left on the left to right fold. 75 out of 100. 

INNER SLEEVE EXCELLENT The Decca mono red and white inner bag has typical light creasing with minor discolouration and no seam splits. Along with this, the record will be dispatched in a new polylined paper inner bag. 80 out of 100.

SLEEVE EXCELLENT The 46 year old front-laminated sleeve is clean and retains its bright original colours. There are three small half moon creases on the front cover, but other than these there is very little to report. The poster sticker is clean, unmarked and unpeeled. The peep hole back cover shows some minor signs of handling but once again there is little to find fault with here. There is typical slight corner rubbing and light wear along the opening edges, but there are no folds, seam splits or hand writing. The spine retains its sniped ends and has fully readable printing. 80 out of 100.

Overall grading EXCELLENT 81.4 out of 100

This record will be removed from its outer sleeve and dispatched in a plastic cover WITH FOUR CARDBOARD STIFFENERS and posted in strong, good quality cardboard packaging. Please try to recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just help to offset the damage done when it was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of old tyres.
