Description

I am parting with some of my treasured LPs.  Here's a great wide banded UK copy of BETWEEN THE BUTTONS by THE ROLLING STONES.  This was released in 1967, and is one of my all time favorite Stones LP's.  Brian Jones shines brightly on this one, and he's appropriately positioned on the cover photo in the center.  This is an UNBOXED STEREO LABEL UK PRESSING SKL4852.  It is amazingly clean, and plays great.  The UK covers are always inherently flimsy, and this one has a 1.5" bottom right corner bend, but the cover is actually gorgeous with great colors , no seam splits, and a solid spine.  There is soft handling to it, but really a great example of a 52 year old UK cover.  The LP plays NEAR MINT.  The sound is fabulous, and I prefer this unboxed Stereo to the red mono as the instruments come at you from a lot of angles on this.  The mono does have more punch in the sound, but this being a finesse LP I personally love this.   This copy sports the J/T tax code stamper which positions this release as the second unboxed stereo as noted below.  However, contrary to the notes below, this LP was pressed in 1967 as stated on the labels.  
UK 1st pressing on the "unboxed" blue Decca label, which features a label layout different from Between the buttons as "Mirage Music" appears on the right side, under the catalog number. 

Identifiable as a 1st pressing by the tax code, "KT", which appears in the runouts, and the groove in the label. Later unboxed pressings (circa 1968) feature the "J/T" tax code on the label itself and are not grooved. 

The front of the sleeve is laminated, and the lamination wraps over the spine and slightly onto the back. 

The first catalog number appears on the jacket, the second on the labels.
