FANTASTIC COPY - ONCE PLAYED AND DELIVERING MINT AUDIO THROUGHOUT
Another record from the same Stones collection I have been listing over the past few days
All played just once to tape, remaining stored and untouched ever since
Originally intended to be a half-live, half-studio production with one side featuring live performances from The Stones' European tour with the other side comprised of newly recorded cover versions of the band's favourite R&B songs.
Covers recorded included a take of Dobie Gray's "Drift Away", Shirley & Company's "Shame, Shame, Shame", and The Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud to Beg".
Soon the band began working on new ideas by Jagger/Richards and the original concept was scrapped in favour of an album with all-new material - the cover of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" would be the only recording to make the cut.
It's Only Rock 'n Roll would mark the Stones' first effort in production since 'Their Satanic Majesties Request', and the first for Jagger and Richards under their pseudonym "The Glimmer Twins"

Clean, factory-fresh labels with no spindle traces at all that I can see
VINYL Visual: MINT-/MINT
Apart from one light and superficial brush mark on Side One (impossibly minor) the vinyl surfaces are pristine
VINYL Audio: MINT
Like-new sound performance throughout - but to be very picky there is some (very) occasional light (non-intrusive) background - but as this copy has possibly never been played (or played once) this is just a characteristic of this pressing
SLEEVE: MINT-
Crisp, sharp and fresh with just the smallest amount to storage rubbing to the bottom edge otherwise, like the rest of this set - as-new
INNER SLEEVE: MINT
Clean and unmarked with no wear or seam splits
