************************************************************

***I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE CONDITION NOF THIS CLASSIC LP WHEN I FOUND IT. I THINK THIS IS THE BEST COPY I HAVE EVER FOUND.

***THE VINYL IS A STRONG EX+.

***I looked very closely at both of the LPs in this set under bright lights. There are only a couple of very light paper scuffs.

***I also completed some short play testing of all four sides. There are no hard “scratchy sounds” at the beginning of each side, like you hear with other records that have been played many times.

***Both records were taken out just to take a close look at the labels. THERE ARE NO SPINDLE MARKS ON THE LABELS. Which of course means this LP was hardly or never played. I think that the former owner probably had a second copy of this album that they used for playing. I don’t that these were hardly ever taken out of the sleeves.

***The record is pressed on thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

THE COVER IS EX FOR ONLY VERY LIGHT WEAR. When looking very closely at the cover I did find a very small tear on the front at the tippy top center. There is also some light corner wear.

***NO SEAM SPLITS.

***THE SPINE IS VERY SOLID AND CLEAN

***I COULD NOT FIND ANY RING WEAR

***I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT WITH THIS LP THE INNER GATE FOLD STARTS SPLITTING VERY EASILY. SOMEHOW THIS HAS REMAINED INTACT WITH NO SPLITTING AT ALL, WHICH ALSO SUPPORTS A THEORY OF VERY LITTLE USE / PLAY OF THESE LPS.

***ANOTHER THING I HAVE NOTICED OVER THE YEARS IS THAT THE INNER SLEEVES COME APART VERY EASILY.

***THE INNER SLEEVES ARE IN NEAR PERFECT SHAPE AND HAVE NOT COME APART AND HAVE VERY LITTLE WEAR.

Again, in almost every way from the vinyl to the postcards I believe this to be the best copy of ‘Exile On Main St.” that I have come across. I hope someone will buy this copy for their collection and enjoy it.
