This is the UK Original press of the Rolling Stones debut 1964 LP. This press is complete with 'Recording First Published' on both labels, the early 1A/4A matrix, the earliest grooved and unboxed Decca labels, the original polylined inner sleeve and laminated MacNeill press sleeve.


The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a stunning bright gloss, every track looks clear with no whitening or significant marks at all. There are just a couple of very light wispy marks on both sides. The red unboxed grooved Decca label is still a deep red, the silver text is very sharp and unworn and there is very light spindle wear. The record is complete with the original handling/playing inner sleeve.


On playing the sound is clear and vibrant. There is a little occasional background hiss but no loud crackle or clicks, it still has Excellent clarity and separation throughout.


The MacNeill press laminated flipback sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The image is bold and the text is clear. The black is solid and the laminate has a bright shine. There are a couple of small laminate creases and a little ring wear. The back cover has an original 24/- price sticker in the corner and a little discolouration but it is still bright. The spine is firm with clear text and the whole cover still feels solid.
