I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
I never ship records inside the picture covers!
All records are sent out in plastic covers for added protection.
ROLLING STONES.
BIG HITS HIGH TIDE AND GREEN GRASS.
UK 1965 MONO UK LP WITH BOOKLET GATEFOLD COVER.
This is a really clean example and in better condition than most original pressings you will see. This is an original pressing with deep grooved Decca labels. The record has 2A / 4A matrix numbers and comes with its original inner cover.
The Condition.
The Record / EX- condition / A really nice clean disc that plays superb with great mono sound. The disc has great clean playing surfaces even when graded under halogen bulb with just very light non sounding wear. This LP is normally found in worn out shape, this one is very nice!
The Cover / EX condition / The cover is in really nice shape with some light normal storage and age wear. Again this is in better shape than normal for an original cover. This has the booklet stapled inside. The cover was printed by Robert Stace England.
The Labels / EX+ condition.
The Inner Cover / VG+ condition / This is the correct inner cover in nice condition.

I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
