I'm pleased to offer for sale this INCREDIBLY RARE find of The Rolling Stones 'Aftermath' with withdrawn 'Purple Shadow Cover'... after only a handful were released, this first press cover was soon withdrawn. Almost an impossible find that very scarcely comes up for sale!!!

Background..
Aftermath is a studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones. The group recorded the album at RCA Studios in California in December 1965 and March 1966, during breaks between their international tours. It was released in the United Kingdom on 15 April 1966 by Decca Records and in the United States in late June or early July 1966 by London Records. It is the band's fourth British and sixth American studio album, and closely follows a series of international hit singles that helped bring the Stones newfound wealth and fame rivalling that of their contemporaries the Beatles.
The outer cover is really good for age with no splits or tears - shows the incredibly rare withdrawn 'Purple shadow' text! Has age related discolouration and wear to corners/edges as to be expected.
The vinyl itself has a lovely glossy sheen to the surface and sits completely flat with no warping. Clean labels and spindle holes. Has some non feelable surface wisps/lines. Spindle trails can be seen at an angle.
The original polylined red 'Decca Mono' protective inner sleeve is excellent with no splits or tears
