VINYL SIDE A condition:   1. clean, nice gloss, does have insertion/handling marks with the longest streaking approximately the 2 o'clock position, and very light "blotch" (NOT dirt or mold) to several small areas, playback fidelity is 3rd best of the 3 records but does play straight through uninterrupted NO skips.     2. very nice and clean, does show light surface marks, most significant marking occurs in dead wax the condition and fidelity is the NICEST SOUNDING of the 3 -  quiet play from the first needle drop and plays wonderfully uninterrupte NO skips       3. quite clean and nice gloss, does have light surface marking throughout but no deep scratches, playback is the 2nd BEST of the 3 items very nice fidelity uninterrupted no skips.  

VINYL SIDE B condition:   1. here there are more marks than the first side specifically in the play region between 6 and 12 o'clock, however the record does play through uninterrupted NO skips a these signs of surface marking    2. the condition is quite similar to the first side and clean and glossy, 2 marks slightly more visible but DO NOT hinder the great playback.       3. also quite clean and significantly fewer marks than the first side, with very nice playback uninterrupted.

CENTER LABEL SIDE A info:   1. NEAR PERFECT maroon unboxed label showing 'MADE IN U.S.A.' under matrix number (ARL 6291) with very light signs of spindle centering marks    2. VERY NICE clean clear maroon unboxed label with variant title '12 BY 5' and some signs of spindle centering marks, matrix number (ARL 6493) under 'Produced by Andrew Loog Oldham' NO location of manufacture   3. GOOD maroon unboxed center label very clean and clear although there is marking ringwear or a past play-thru visible on the label, printed title exactly as 'THE ROLLING STONES NOW' eliminates punctuation, matrix number (ARL 6691) under 'Produced by Andrew Loog Oldham for Impact Sound' with no indication of other location, no visible signs of spindle centering marks.

CENTER LABEL SIDE B info:   1. more marks and spindle cetering than the A side, all other info is identical except the matrix (ARL 6292)    2. very similar condition to the A side, all info the same except matrix (ARL 6494)    3. much nicer label with some signs of spindle centering, all information is the same as A side except matrix (ARL 6692)

VERY GOOD while this is a clean cover it has significant shelfwear rub - through and ringwear, some light creasing at the right side   3. VERY GOOD ++ a beautiful crisp clean photo montage with barely any ringwear or rubbing, however there are some streak marks and light indents, and some crease to the lower left

COVER BACK info:  1. VERY GOOD ++ or better, a excellent slick fully intact showing some signs of discoloration ringwear but VERY clean and otherwise clear and legible, some light rubbing ath the photos at bottom, "LL 3375" ink stamp at top right, and the "FAN CLUB" box at lower left     2. GOOD + slick is showing signs of ringwear and shelf rubbing, very small tears at lower right, ink stamp "LL 3402", some discoloration and fading at edges, a few previous owner's ink markings, still all text and photos discernible, legible    3. VERY GOOD + slick is fully intact but shows some discoloration and fading/rubbing to the photo area, some crease at the lower right corner, light ringwear, this DOES HAVE the "BLIND MAN" text

COVER SPINE / EDGE / CORNER info:   1. spine seam split through center half but outer ends intact, top has some edgewear at center and ends, bottom has edgewearmostly to the left, cornerwear most significant at bottom   2. spine intact but significant rubbing, top has edgewear but no splits, bottom significant edgewear at left side, cornerwear at all 4    3. instact quite nice but some wear to the right end, top edge is about 3/4 split but is holding together, bottom edge split near center, cornerwear visible and right corners slightly bent

NOTES:   INCREDIBLE CHANCE to get the FIRST THREE Rolling Stones US pressings in MONO together at the same time!!!!  The above details are quite specific and I have gone into lengths to provide condition specifics, and make no mistake about it these records are sure to be enjoyed by any collector. Late 1964 pressing on the maroon, "unboxed" London label (see pictures). The earliest 1964 pressings were on London FFRR label, with discs that were actually pressed in the UK. These second pressings represented by this entry were actually the first pressings of this (US) LP to actually be manufactured in the US. 

Label variation which sees the title rendered as "12 by 5" instead of "12 X 5", puts the label code under the producer credit, and makes no mention of "Made in the U.S.A.".
