Artist: ROLAND KIRK QUARTET
Title: “Meets the Benny Golson Orchestra”
Label: MERCURY. Label is black with silver text. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl, with deep groove. Catalog number is MG 20844.
Year: 1963.
Personnel (quartet sessions): Roland Kirk – saxophone; Harold Mabern – piano; Abdullah Rafik – bass; Sonny Brown – drums. Orchestra rhythm section includes Mabern, Richard Davis – bass; Albert Heath – drums.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NM-, a beauty! The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, played a small number of times and handled with care. Plays beautifully with superb fidelity. Labels are clean and pristine. A splendid listening experience!
JACKET: Laminated jacket is beautiful NM- with flawless front and back panels. Seams and spine are excellent, slight bump at top right corner. A fine jacket to accompany the beautiful disc.
Includes the original vintage Mercury Records factory inner sleeve in top condition.
