Description
Audition #6110. Definitely an original, not a reissue or counterfeit of any kind. 1966 release by Buffalo NY's geniuses of folkrock, The Rogues. Their two 45s on Thunderbird are indeed folk rock, and You Better Look Now is a perfect slice of that moody stuff (as covered by The Chesterfield Kings). Sounds like a lost track by the early Grassroots or early Turtles. Train Kept A Rollin' is of course a Yardbirds cover but this one adds a manic psych punk edge with feedback, screams and squeals, and vocals done in a strange frenzied style. Labels are as shown. Record itself is visually VG- with some groove wear (dulling) but it plays well. A worn but decent copy. Plays with moderate surface noise which doesn't come close to overpowering the music, of course no skips.
