Description
This is an ultra rare Mint+ 1979 Australian promo copy of Sexto Rodriguez’s second album Coming From Reality, catalogue number MLF 269.
The original version of this album, recorded by Rodriguez in London in 1971, was released by Sussex Records.
In 1979 CBS Australia signed a licensing deal with Blue Goose Music in Melbourne and released this promo version of Coming From Reality to coincide with Rodriguez’s short Australian tour.
This album has been in my collection since 1979 and has never been played, so the label has no spindle marks and the vinyl is pristine.
The LP was only taken out of its sleeve for the first time today to be photographed.
The album has been stored in a climate controlled room for over 40 years, so has a very feint ring mark on the back cover due to compression from the albums either side. The back cover also features the CBS gold stamp that reads ‘This record is manufactured for the purpose of promotion only. It remains the property of CBS Records Australia Limited and is not for sale.
Each label also has the black ink Promotion Only Not For Sale stamp
