On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Rod Stewart called "An Old Raincoat Wont Ever Let You Down" and is an ORIGINAL UK 1969 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Large' Vertigo 'Spiral' label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST LPs ON THE VERTIGO LABEL (AS AN 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING!) - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'LARGE' VERTIGO 'SPIRAL' LABELS WITH 'PHILIPS' CREDIT AT THE BOTTOM!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNT OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - WERE EVER PRESSED LIKE THIS, BEFORE THE 'PHILIPS' CREDIT WAS IMMEDIATELY REMOVED!!!!  IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE LABEL - YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LABEL (SEE PICTURES) IT HAS PRINTED 'A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT'!!!!  THIS TEXT ONLY EVER APPEARED ON AN ABSOLUTELY TINY HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE AND WAS REMOVED IMMEDIATELY AFTER RELEASE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP ALSO COMES WITH THE ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'WIDE SPINE' COVER ASWELL (ALL LATER ONES HAD STANDARD SPINES INSTEAD!)!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET, WITH ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES EVER BEING MADE LIKE THIS!!!!

THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS AN ULTRA RARE 'SAMPLE RECORD' 1ST PRESSING (AND IS 100% GENIUNE - COMING FROM THE SAME COLLECTION OF OTHER 'SAMPLES' I ALSO HAVE LISTED THIS WEEK!)!!!!  AND AGAIN, THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  'SAMPLE RECORD' PRESSINGS WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (NO MORE THAN A HUNDRED COPIES AT THE VERY MOST!), AND WERE ONLY EVER USED FOR 'IN-HOUSE' USE BY PHILIPS / VERTIGO THEMSELVES (FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES), OR VERY OCCASSIONALLY ONE WAS GIVEN OUT TO 'IMPORTANT VISITORS' TO THE FACTORY - SUCH AS PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS FOR EXAMPLE!!!!  'SAMPLE RECORDS' WERE NEARLY ALWAYS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE (AS IN THIS CASE!) - AND ARE TRULY EXCEPTIONALLY HARD TO FIND TODAY, AS BARELY ANY EXIST!!!!  BARELY ANY 'SAMPLE RECORD' 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP WERE EVER MADE - MAKING THIS LP OF THE UTMOST RARITY (ESPECIALLY AS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE!)!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'LARGE' VERTIGO 'SPIRAL' LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'PHILIPS' LABEL CREDIT, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS VERTIGO 'SPIRAL' INNER SLEEVE, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'WIDE SPINE' GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Vertigo UK 1st Pressing from 1969 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is VO 4 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!). 

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, only 2 or 3 VERY light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO skips, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo 'Spiral' inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition (and still FULLY 'poly lined'!)!!!!  The ULTRA RARE 'Earliest' 1st Press 'Wide Spine' Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The cover has NO splits, NO edge wear (apart from some almost INVISIBLE 'touching in' traces!), NO sticker marks, NO rips, NO tears, some evidence of 'touching in' to the VERY points of the spine ONLY (side words still ALL readable!), NO sticker tears, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a VERY few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering!!!!  Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (ESPECIALLY AS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
