This is the RARE later UK SPACESHIP Vertigo label press of ‘Gasoline Alley’ by Rod Stewart. As with a number of Vertigo releases, there are a small number of later spaceship presses. This press is complete with the original and earliest 1Y1/2Y1 matrix and matt Howard Printers gatefold sleeve. 

The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl is still extremely glossy, it has clearly only been played a couple of times. There are a couple of the very faintest wispy marks but these are insignificant as the vinyl looks absolutely sensational. The spaceship label is in superb condition. The colours are bright and there is only the very slightest spindle wear.

When played the sound is superb, exceptionally rich, clear and bright. It has excellent audio separation and superb clarity.

The matt gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. The black is bold, the colours are vivid and the image is sharp. The edges are extremely firm and the inside is in sensational, extremely clean condition. There is wear to one bottom edge. The whole cover feels very solid and the spine is has sharp, bright text.
