Hi, and welcome to my auction!
Firstly let me point out that I’m not a record collector or trader, just someone who’s discovered that many of those LPs he bought back in the 60’s and 70’s could actually be worth a bit of cash!
I always looked after my records, and had good quality (perhaps best described as mid-range audiophile) hi-fi equipment. Having bought one of the first CD players in 1984, I rapidly converted and consequently put all my albums into storage, where they have been ever since.
So ... here’s one of my original Rod Stewart LPs, ‘Gasoline Alley’ from 1970. The vinyl itself is in played condition, with only very light, minor marking. There is still a good ‘shine’ to the surface and the labels are clean and white with only slight spindle marks.
The matrix number is:- 6360500 1 Y 1 420 and 6360500 2 Y 1 420
The cover is in fantastic condition, with the only issue being a slight ‘scuffing’ on each of the four corners. There is no creasing or LP imprint. The inner is complete with plastic inner, only problem is some light ageing to the paper wrapper.
One of these just sold on here for nearly £400! – but I think I’m being realistic starting this at £25.
