THE ROCKY HORROR BOX SET

 1989 Festival Records, Australia Cat# L 80891/4


Exclusive to Australia, and limited to ONLY 250 copies! The box set was released in March 1989, and was only made available to select

 record stores for a few short months, before it was deleted, never to be seen again.  This is without question THE most difficult to find of the 3 different 1980s Rocky Horror Show LP Box sets, and is now considered to be amongst the rarest Rocky Horror audio items ever issued! Personally, I have only seen this item show up on eBay once before, therefore many hardcore vinyl collectors still do not have a copy of this set in their collection!


All 4 LPs are in MINT/MINT condition, and have never been played. Initially the box was shrink-wrapped and packed full with loose confetti. The idea was to surprise the buyer as the confetti burst out when first opened (there are actually a few remaining bits scattered within this set!) The edges of the cardboard box have some considerable wear and are starting to split with the passing of several decades - and the sheer weight of the 5 records enclosed.
ALL VINYL WAS PRESSED IN AUSTRALIA ON FESTIVAL RECORDS!
**Take special note of the 1981 Australian Revival Cast EP, which was pressed for the first (and only) time on BLACK vinyl for inclusion in this set.  The album had previously only ever been issued on red wax, making this pressing incredibly scarce and FAR rarer than the standard red vinyl.

AUSTRALIA 1983 Ode/Festival Records, L70231/2 DOUBLE LP, gatefold cover jacket. This album was recorded live at the 8th Street Playhouse, New York. Insert sleeves contain cues for the audience participation call-back lines. The recording is also unique as it contains the original MONO version of the movie soundtrack!


Also included are 2 'surprise' extras - a promotional Shock Treatment Cosmo McKinley face mask,

 and Rocky Horror 'lips' Sticker. Both are in mint condition.
