Don't let the cover with the great pic of a young Freddy King holding his guitar fool you - his first ever recordings are on this record but this is a HARMONICA album and it's not the usual stuff.

Here's the run down:

LITTLE MILTON: Boogie Woogie Woogie Baby, Little Milton Boogie - this is NOT the well known Little Milton but a guy called Milton Anderson and these sides come from Jackson Mississippi recorded in 1953. Milton Anderson is playing harmonica & the vocal is handled by Eddie White.

TENDER SLIM: Don't Cut Out On Me, I'm Checkin' Up - recorded in New York City in 1962  - Joe Richardson sings with Buddy Lucas on harp

WILLIE KING: Peg Leg Woman - who where and when is a big question to me but he is backed up by the Ike Turner Band !

McKINLEY JAMES: Tuskegee Boogie, Ain't Gonna Pick No More Cotton - Columbus Ga in 1966 - Mckinle on vocal harmonica & vocal - great throwback stuff.

FREDDY KING: That's What You Think, Country Boy - Freddy's first ever recordings from 1956 in Chicago with Earlee Payton on harp & Robert Jr Lockwood on guitar !

EDDIE HOPE & THE MANNISH BOYS: A Fool No More, Lost Child - Eddie Hope is the drummer in this combo & he sings A Fool No More, Lost Child is sung by Johnny Tucker who plays harmonica on both sides. These were recorded in Miami in 1956

HARMONICA SLIM: Drop Anchor, Do What You Want To Do. Harmonica Slim is Travis Blaylock and these sides are fom LA in 1956

ALVIN SMITH: On My Way is from Berkley, California in 1950 and features the great Johnny Heartsman on guitar behind Alin on harp.

There are a couple of minor age and shelf marks on the back of the sleeve
