The often underrated, misunderstood seventh Rocket From The Crypt full-length was initially divisive among fans and critics alike, but if time teaches anything, it's that some art ages like wine.
Following 2001's eclectic, ska-leaning 'Group Sounds', the band would double down only a year later with a to the bone, no nonsense, 10-track,26-minute speed train that would ultimately be their final studio effort.
While some may argue that the members newfound commitment to other projects such as Hot Snakes could have potentially detracted from the writing process or be the cause of its brevity, it's difficult not to see the charm in a rocket burning out rather than fading away. Going out on their own terms, with a final vindictive burst of unhinged energy exuded in standouts such as 'I'm Not Invisible' and 'Bring Us Bullets', the not live 'Live From Camp X-Ray' is the type of swan song more artists should aspire to drop the curtain on.
