Artist: Magnum
Background: this item was purchased as part of a bundle of single vinyl records via Omega Auctions.
Artist: Magnum
Album: 12” album ‘The Eleventh Hour!’
Label: Jet
Release number: CB 271 (no barcode)
Release year: 1983
Format: this is 12” album and with a stunning range of signatures by the band, and includes the following signatures:
Rodney Matthews: original artist for the album artwork, which is copyrighted 1983. Rodney has signed on the front panel at 10 o’clock with a large signature in a fine black biro-style pen, and I am grading the signature 9/10 for definition and ink coverage.
Mark Stanway, keyboards (1980–1984, 1985–1995, 2001–2016). Mark has signed the rear panel at 3 o’clock and dedicated his signature ‘To Mark, Best Wishes, Mark Stanway’. Mark has signed the rear panel in a medium black biro-style pen, and I am grading the signature 8/10 for definition and ink coverage.
Colin ‘Wally’ Lowe, bass guitar, vocals (1975–1995). Colin has signed the rear panel at 4 o’clock as ‘Wally Lowe’ in a medium blue biro-style pen, and I am grading the signature 7/10 for definition and ink coverage.
Bob Catley, vocals (1972–1995, 2001–present). Bob has signed the rear panel at 12 o’clock and dedicated his signature ‘To Mark, Best Wishes, Mark Stanway’. Mark has signed the rear panel in a medium black biro-style pen, and I am grading the signature 8/10 for definition and ink coverage.
Tony Clarkin, lead guitar, vocals (1972–1995, 2001–2024; his death), drums (2001). Tony has signed in the centre of the rear panel ‘Tony Clarkin’ in a medium blue biro-style pen, and I am grading the signature 4/10 for definition and ink coverage, as there is minor smudging and moderate ink loss where the ink has not taken to the semi-gloss card finish.
Robin George, rhythm guitar (1983; died 2024). Robin has signed at 9 o’clock on the rear panel ‘Robin George’ in a medium blue biro-style pen, and I am grading the signature 6/10 for definition and ink coverage, as there is minor ink loss where the ink has not taken to the semi-gloss card finish to the ‘Robin’ element of the signature.
