Description
In this set of great records,we have NINE,all dating from the 1950s. The 1950s,in musical terms were simply incredible, and the choice of musical sounds were wide, for there was jazz, smooth vocals, instrumentals and operatic works, which were very popular, and then came......rock & roll. Critics said it would be short lived, but have you ever known a critic to be right? Our children became teenagers and with that, came their own style of music and the outbreak of skiffle in the UK was huge and the instruments were cheep. A new sound was then heard from over the water,in the form of a young cat named Elvis and the rest is proverbial history. This set of NINE 78s,contain some of the sounds that were heard back then and each disc is in jolly nice condition. Now,let`s look and see what will be spinning on your favourite vintage record player soon. 1)Fats Domino-I Can`t Go On/VBlueberry Hill 2)Don Gibson-Too Soon/Blue Blue Day 3)Lonnie Donegan Skiffle Group-Don`t You Rock Me daddy O/Allabammy Bound 4)Tennessee Ernie Ford-Sixteen Tons/You Don`t Have To A Baby To Cry 5)The Ravens-Begin The Begiune/Looking For My Baby 6)The Diamonds-Little darlin`/Faithful & True 7)Bill Haley & His Comets-ABC Boogie/Shake Rattle & Roll(Black & Gold laben) 8)The Ponitails-Born To Late/Come On Joey dance With Me 9)Bill Haley & His Comets-Rock Around The Clock/Thirteen Women
Now that is a superb selection to add to your collection or perhaps you are starting one,in which case, this little set will be just great. Most 50s and rock & roll fans will know these, but if you are new to these sounds, nip into u-tube and google for info and the chance to hear these very sides. We all know how much these are going to cost if you go to a record dealer, and your pockets need to be full, but I always try and give value for your monies,so dig my price, and always dig the 1950s.
