ROBIN MACKENZIE : A Sound Work to Accompany LP (Carmen Lamanna Gallery [CANADA] KC-1006) 1972.

Record is VG+ with light sleeve marks only. It's a pretty noisy pressing with quite a few light clicks and pops, and some noise during quiet parts, nothing too bad. Gatefold cover is excellent with some minor discoloration and foxing, inside and out.

Original copy of this ultra obscure private sound art LP by Canadian sculptor/photographer/sound artist Robin Mackenzie, released in 1972 by the Carmen Lamanna Gallery in Toronto. The LP is included in the 1990 Art Metropole/Walter Phillips Gallery Sound By Artists discography, but it's not listed in Broken Music and we've found no other reference to it. Side one is a long series of natural/industrial found sounds: insects, birds, trucks, planes, etc (?) - presumably one single field recording, but possibly a cut-up/collage of some kind. Side two is entirely the sound of a person walking around a room.
