ROBERTO GERHARD - The Plague

Very rare and unusual album comprising a nightmarish setting of Camus' The Plague for orchestra with narration. In addition to being a truly unsettling piece of sonic mayhem, this is considered by numerous audiophiles to be one of best-sounding classical LPs ever recorded, with really remarkable presence, dynamics, and depth. A terrific record!

Released in 1974 by Decca Records, UK. Includes original libretto.

CONDITION: Cover is in very good condition save for light to moderate wear and creasing at edges and corners. The disc is in excellent condition (if not mint); it plays beautifully, with no skips and little or no surface noise.
