Robert Pete Williams Sugar Farm Blues Beacon 1932 101
Williams trod his own unique and VERY outside path loosely within the framework of country blues but so much weirder and so much more. His music will appeal to fans of free improv, blues,and outsiders; avant-gardists and traditionalists alike. His songs would be loosely structured around a melodic theme, but he would musically wander off in any direction, without regard to meter, tempo and sometimes even key! Lyrically, he was equally up for any adventure. Just because a song started talking about, say, prison, was that any reason it had to stay with that theme? Absolutely not! Let’s explore! What a great off-kilter mind....
This session was recorded while he was on tour in Germany in 1972 and includes versions of some of his classics like “Louise”, “Two White Horses”, and “See That My Grave is Kept Clean”.
This copy has been almost opened, but not quite, so the disc is mint. The cover has two bent corners. It’s a German issue, and is almost impossible to turn up.

We’re hoping that this will keep you coming back to us for the chance at some genuine bargains and maybe even steals, as we allow each item to find its natural price. We are also hoping to expand into some of our other interests in the near future, like vintage clothes and books.
