Description
ROBERT JOHNSON
King Of The Delta Blues Singers
COLUMBIA CL 1654
Impossibly rare mono pressing LP in stunning NM condition
Robert Johnson is the man who sold his soul to the devil to learn to play the most otherworldly blues guitar. The man without whom Eric Clapton would probably have become an insurance salesman, without whom rock and roll would not exists as we know it today.
Bob Dylan has been quoted as saying:
"...with a certain kind of blues music, you can sit down and play it...you may have to lean forward a little."
Cover shows virtually no shelf wear. No rips, no splits. No tape, no writing. See photo.
Vinyl boasts original shine, gloss and luster. It looks as if unplayed. I'll easily grade at NM, and if NM+ was a legitimate grade, this rare LP would easily get it.
All in all, this is a great LP at a remarkable starting price.
