TITLE/ARTIST: Please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - 45's, Pic Sleeves, EP's and LP's from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is one of those ultra rare and highly sought after LP's by the talented young artist who died in the Iowa cornfields along with Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper - Ritchie Valens. The record is on the original, 1st press, black with silver print, and a "diamonds" border, Del-Fi Label from 1959 (the very year he died in that awful plane crash). It was his LP 1st and is self-entitled "Ritchie Valens". The LP includes his huge hit singles, "Donna", "La Bamba", "Come On Let's Go" and 9 other great RnR/Rockabilly songs, but please view all the pictures above for the song titles and much more. LABEL INFO: This original black with silver print, "diamonds" bordered, Del-Fi Label (DFLP-1201) is close to perfect with no serious issues at all - I don't even see too many spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very light play. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl - in MONO - is also super shiny, clean, and nice with, again, nothing in any need to mention - In my opinion, it actually looks about as good as the day it was 1st purchased back in '59. JACKET INFO: Finally, the attractive and colorful jacket is also in very good overall shape with just a couple of very minor issues to mention here. There are small scuff marks a couple of the corners and 1 or 2 very small and very light crease lines in two places - but nothing of any significance, believe me. Otherwise though, it also appears to be near perfect and just fine. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this highly collectible LP is in very nice condition - so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, years, sizes, and varieties.
