From the insert: "This record has been specially produced to test the performance of audio systems through the music itself. For this purpose, the highest-quality, most accurate recording techniques have been employed throughtout - right from the program source to the finished disc. Rather than standard analog recording techniques, this album was recorded using the most advanced digital techniques developed by Yamaha´s specialized electro-acoutsic engineering team. The original music signals are chnaged by analog-to-digital conversion to a formatr of discreet "on" and "off" signal levels, and then reconverted to analog form at playback. This system results in the complete elimination of wow and flutter in the recording process, and increases dynamic range to an amazing 85 decibels or more. The master disc was cut via an ultra-low distortion, high-output amplifier using Neumann´s SX-74 cutter head ..."

Gold indicates an album in mint or perfect condition.
Silver Condition indicates an album in excellent condition, with only a few very very light marks. A Silver record will play perfectly.
Green condition indicates an album in very good condition. Though there might be a couple of visible marks on these records it should not affect the play very much if at all.
Yellow condition indicates good condition. These records can have marks that may make a pop or crackle, but will not skip. Or may have more numerous lighter marks.
Blue condition indicates a record with quite a few marks or with heavier marks or a worn record.
