WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Philips Records very first Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1969 by Discos Philips (Philips Records), Licensed from Philips Records, Israel, through Philips Records, France, catalog number 370.829, with hand etched matrix numbers 370-829-A- EB in Side A and 370.829-B EB in Side B, with traditional blue/silver Philips Records labels and 3-prong push-out center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Casatschok” was originally released in 1969 in France and the same year we got this single released here in Chile, sung in Spanish, and as you can see we also got an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, made of a single piece of hard paper folded in the middle, with back cover pasted on the flips of front cover. Both front and back cover keep the same pale green design, 8 pictures of Rika Zarai with the title “Sings In Spanish” and song titles written in Spanish only (except “Casatschok”) and the Philips Records logo and catalog number at bottom right corner. In labels, the title of the single and song titles are written in Spanish, translated to French (except “Casatschok”), with full credits for songwriters and additional information about licenses, including a catalog number “189 Venezuela”. Maybe and only maybe the license of this single comes from an issue from Venezuela. If you know this single you could have already noticed that here in Chile the picture sleeve has the same design of 8 pictures of Rika Zarai of original issue from Israel (you can see and compare with the original issue in this link: http://denis.schwartz.pagesperso-orange.fr/rika3.htm#Israël). You can also notice an error, the name of songwriter Boris Rubaschkid is misspelled “B. RUBASCHKIN”. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of this single by Rika Zarai, RELEASED IN CHILE with Spanish-written song title and UNIQUE PALE GREEN-TINTED PICTURE SLEEVE, a record almost never seen and now auctioned here in eBay in nice condition, A MUST TO HAVE for all lovers, fans and collectors of Rika Zarai, one the rarest issues of “Casatschok” worldwide and SUNG IN SPANISH and with UNIQUE ERROR!!! WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in G+ or VG- condition, clear and not so clean, with severe wear, almost 100% seam splits at bottom and spine edges, the top edge is fully unglued, with discoloration, little rips, marks of humidity at top edge, but in spite of all the issues, the fragile paper sleeve is complete and the artwork is fully visible. The record is in EX- or EX condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some soft scuffs and light hairlines, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all, with push-out center intact. Labels on both sides are in great NM- or NM condition, clean and clear, with minimal spindle hole wear, more evident in Side B. The sound is in strong EX or even EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only minimal occasional soft crackles here and there, more evident in the last seconds of each song, which of course don’t really cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe this record isn’t for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles considering the condition of cover, but sure this record keeps a very nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and still a superb sound quality after almost 50 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And keep in mind now you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of this classic hit by Rika Zarai with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, SPANISH-WRITTEN SONG TITLES, SUNG IN SPANISH and with UNIQUE ERROR, a record almost never seen!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
