TITLE/ARTIST: This highly collectible and ultra rare, very 1st EP with it's original jacket - and picturing a very young looking Ricky Nelson - is by the 50's-'60's heartthrob/superstar, Ricky Nelson, on the original, black with silver print, Verve Label - 5048 - from 1957 (see the pics above). While the vinyl is an important and necessary part to this package, it is the rare and collectible EP jacket that makes this listing so very, very interesting. The EP is self-entitled "Ricky", and all the song titles are visible in the pictures above - and I even have an original Verve Records company sleeve to include with the package (see pics)! And, all of this is in very, very good condition to boot. LABEL INFO: The label is close to perfect, except that a previous owner placed an easily removable "numbers" tag on one side only. VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also extremely good - very shiny, clean and nice - but does show a few very light (and they are very light) surface/paper lines on either side. Otherwise, in my opinion it's almost as nice as the day it was 1st purchased. JACKET INFO: Finally, the very hard to find picture sleeve is super good and close to perfect - no real flaws in need of a mention at all - to me, it looks about as nice as the day it was 1st purchased (see pics above). But, please view the pictures above and make your own decisions about everything. INTERESTING FACTS: This ultra rare and highly collectible EP package really is very clean and nice, not to mention how very difficult it is to find, so please have at it. In addition, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to get to yet -- of all varieties.
