Description
An excellent condition and complete example of the original 1966 UK reel to reel 3 & 3/4 ips mono tape release of "Revolver" by The Beatles complete with the two page "Emitape" leaflet, the packing/warranty slip, and the small circular green and gold Parlophone logo'd sticker to the Emitape-labelled spool. Cat No TA-PMC-7009. Mono twin track which can be played on both mono (twin track) and stereo (four track) machines.
Clean, clearly printed white leader tape and red printed trailing leader tape. See all photographs. These Beatles reel albums (or tape records as they were known), were often bought via special order from the retailers who stocked them. - an indication of their relative rarity today.
Pink star tax code to the base of the box, which indicates the item was returned by the retailer to EMI for purchase tax refund when unsold. (Often mistaken for a blemish) These were the days when EMI supplied retailers on a "sale or return" basis
Original, this is how they were supplied new with the inserts and sticker - usually by audiophiles wanting top quality sound. This example shows all the signs of being little used and the glorious mono sound is exemplary.
Played throughout both sides and tested - perfect. Emitape leaflet and packing/warranty slip like new. Rare in this excellent and complete condition.
