Description

This is not the common retail copy found everywhere online. Offered here is an original 1980 REO Speedwagon "Hi Infidelity" White Label Promotional LP featuring both the "Demonstration Not For Sale" labels and the original CBS "For Promotion Only" jacket stamp.

Produced specifically for radio stations, music industry executives, reviewers, and promotional use, these copies were never intended for regular retail sale. Most collectors find either the promo stamp or the white labels—having both together makes this a highly desirable example of one of the biggest rock albums of the 1980s.

Included is the original album jacket, vinyl record, and the original photo/lyric inner sleeve shown in the photos.

Condition

The vinyl retains a nice glossy appearance and presents very well. Jacket shows normal age-related storage and handling wear consistent with a vintage 1980 record. Original lyric/photo inner sleeve is included. Please review all photos carefully for the most accurate representation of condition, as the pictures show the exact item you will receive.

Collector's Note

"Hi Infidelity" became REO Speedwagon's best-selling album and one of the defining arena rock releases of the decade. White label promotional copies such as this were distributed in limited numbers to radio stations and industry contacts before and during the album's release campaign. The combination of the white promo labels, demonstration markings, and CBS promotional jacket stamp makes this version significantly more collectible than a standard retail pressing.
