Working diligently with my librarian hat on. I am really proud of how well we took care of our things and collectables…just kinda forgot. We have hundreds of quality pieces…some seldom seen especially in the U.S. Some are rare or at least hard to find. I welcome International Buyers…I know you have to pay high taxes for both countries …and it takes forever, but collecting is like that, I know.

If the record is a mess - you will know about it and see it, if it was a cut out , I will show and tell.  Nonsmoking home, original owners (okay a few finds in thrifting Years ago)...Happy to pass on to someone who wants it.

The tracks on side B were recorded live (mono!) in June 1979.

History

Asquith and Allen went to the same school. After his departure from punk band The Models, Allen asked Asquith to join in a new project, called Rema-Rema. However, the band dissolved when Marco Pirroni joined Adam and the Ants.

Pirroni had been an original member of Siouxsie and the Banshees, and was a short-time integrant of Cowboys International, but shortly afterwards went on to fame as a member of Adam and the Ants. Asquith, Allen, and Cox went on to form another short-lived band Mass, which then split up to form Renegade Soundwave (Asquith) and The Wolfgang Press (Allen and Cox). Max later joined Psychic TV, and also recorded a single "I Confess" under the name Dorothy, cowritten with Alex Fergusson, released on Industrial Records in 1980.

Their sole four-track EP, Wheel in the Roses (released 1980 on 4AD), featured one side of studio recordings and another of live material. Their songs "Fond Affections" and "Rema-Rema" were later covered by This Mortal Coil and Big Black respectively. Two live tracks from the Acklam Hall gig of April 1979, "Why Ask Why?" and "Christopher" appeared on the tape only release, The Men With the Deadly Dreams, on White Stains in 1981.

 While the early Axis label singles had served an important research and development function, the arrival of Rema-Rema provided Ivo with something more important: a reason for continuing. Returning to the shop one afternoon to find five people about to play Peter their demo tape, Ivo was immediately struck by the post-punk quintet's music, later saying, "It was the first point I knew that we were actually doing something serious."

Drummer Max Prior went on to form El Trains (with Jay Strongman) and worked with Genesis P Orridge and Industrial Records as a solo artist under her real name (Dorothy), eventually joining Psychic TV full time."

 Vinyl collecting tips

 “Check the edition of the record, i.e. whether or not it is a standard copy, a REPRESS (non-original), or a PROMO (usually worth a lot more as they were released in limited numbers before being commercially released).

 *FIRST (1ST) PRESS: These LPs are the very first to come off the production line and are made directly from the mother discs, the matrix numbers usually end in -1.

 *MATRIX NUMBERS: These are numbers found etched into the vinyl between the final track and label. Each side should have a different number. They tell you when are where the LP was made, if the matrix numbers end in -1 it usually means they are 1st pressings.

 Bear in mind that some releases get a simultaneous release on multiple formats within the same territory, and then you have the releases that may be released at the same time in completely different territories often by different labels. Sometimes the of a first pressing simply does not exist.”
