Up for auction/sale is a stunning, museum-grade copy of R.E.M.’s legendary debut single, "Radio Free Europe." This is the authentic 1981 pressing on the Hib-Tone label.
Collectors will note that the second pressing is distinguished by the inclusion of the Hib-Tone contact address on the label ("Hib-Tone Records Box 8436 - Atlanta, Ga. 30306"). Unlike modern reissues, this is the original 1981 vintage—produced in a limited run of approximately 6,000 copies—making it a cornerstone for any serious alternative rock collection.
