Description

R.E.M. Chronic Town 1st Press gargoyle label US promo w/ I.R.S. press kit and photo. Sleeve is graded VG, with ringwear, scuffing, and corner dinging as shown in photos. Original I.R.S. company inner sleeve is present with some creasing, as shown in photos, but no seam splits. Your record will be shipped in a new white paper inner sleeve to prevent seam splits or other damage to the original custom inner sleeve during shipping. Promotional record includes original I.R.S. press release and promo photograph. Original custom gargoyle labels are clean, with no writing or spindle marks. Record is visually glossy, clean, and scratch-free, with some faint scuffing/sleeve removal marks visible when held at an angle to bright light. Record play-grades VG+, with some surface noise, pops and ticks audible during lead-in grooves, between songs, and during quiet passages of songs. However, this early/first pressing plays well and has an audible magic that all subsequent vinyl and CD reissues lack.
